What I Ate Wednesday No.76

Breakfast

A bowl of Special K nourish, this was the chocolate and coconut variety which contains...
I use semi skimmed milk.  Drink = tea.

Lunch

Waffles!  Now hese are not the potato kind they are new out from Birds Eye and can be taken from your freezer and popped in the toaster for perfect waffles in a flash!  On this occasion I had 2, 1 topped with Meridian smooth peanut butter and strawberry jam and the other with Cadbury chocolate spread and a slice banana.  So goddam yummy!
Drink = water.

Dinner

Check out this proper huge vegetable stuffed calzone.  This was at a small local restaurant for a family members Birthday.  It was bursting with spinach, roasted aubergine, roasted peppers, caramelised onion, mozzarella cheese and a tomato sauce.  It came with a small side salad.  I ate the lot!
Drink = 2 glasses of water.

New Look Sale Haul

Hi all

I am back again with another haul, this one is 5 items form the New Look online sale.  I seem to be getting into online shopping more and more and rarely buy more online than in stores these days.

Let's start with this bubble hem sleeveless shell top in khaki (excuse the picture which seems to give it a pink tinge).  But this is really flattering on and looks great teamed with some black jeans and sandals for day or night.  It cost £7.

Then I found this ribbed black vest top with tassel detail around the bottom.  I thought it was nice to have a slightly different take on your average black vest top.  This one was £5.

This simple camel coloured cardigan was purchased with work in mind and cost only £5 which i thought was great for a cardigan.

I was drawn to the broderie detailing at the bottom of this light pink (although it says 'coral' online) coloured vest top.  It is a little see through so i could do with a pale ink or nude coloured bra to go under it as a white one shows up a lot!  This cost £8.99.

This last item was only £3 and I thought it was ideal for days spent lounging at home, although you could also team it with jeans and wear it out and about.  I liked that the wording has a nod to New York on it after enjoying a trip there a couple years back (you can find that post here).

If you have posted a spring/summer clothes haul recently then please leave a link in the comments below as i would love to check it out.

Tat-ta for now.

What I Ate Wednesday No.75

Hi everyone

Thanks for stopping by for another instalment of What I Ate Wednesday.  As usual it just contains my main meals and not the snacks.

Breakfast

A chocolate chip pancake with a whole sliced banana and 3 sliced strawberries.  Drink = mug of tea.

Lunch

slice of wholemeal toast topped with scrambled egg and served with tomatoes and steamed broccoli.  Drink = water.

Dinner

Half a pack of rice and quinoa vegetable rice, an avocado baked egg, a slice of sour dough toast, cherry tomatoes.  The avocado I scooped out (in order to put the egg in) is above the tomatoes there.  Waste not, want not!  I really enjoyed this meal.  Drink = water.

Recent Home Decor Editions

I have a few home decor items which I have recently added to my home.  Some of them I have had for ages...but they have only just made it onto the wall.

I found this new runner for my dining table in Sainsburys no less and I love how it finishes off my table and ties it all together. It cost just £9.  (The placemats and coasters are from Denby.)

These hearts were an addition to a bare wall in my bedroom.  They are not very easy to photograph but they are in fact a gold colour with a croc print texture to them.
They were from Next and cost £15 (although some time ago now) and you can see full details of my bedroom make over here.

I received this wooden sign as a gift for Christmas so I am not sure where it was purchased.  I love the shabby chic style and wording on it.  It is on the wall in my 3rd bedroom which is currently used as an office/study.

This teal coloured metal butterfly is from Sainsburys of all places and hangs above the light switch in my lounge.

It is nice to have a few new editions to the home now and then to spice things up a bit.

If you have a recent home decor post please feel free to leave a link in the comments below, I would love to check it out!
